Agatha Christie's novel "Silent Witness" was first published by the Collins Crime Club in England in 1937. It was also published in the United States the same year under the title "Poirot Loses a Client." In the novel, the famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot tries to find out who killed old Miss Arundel, and all this is presented to the reader by Captain Arthur Hastings.
